Meet Our Doctors

Dr Ahmed Hendawi graduated from medical school in Egypt in 2007.  He is a passionate general practitioner and enjoys helping his patients with a kind, sympathetic and supportive approach. Dr Hendawi started his medical career in Australia in 2014 in regional Victoria.  Over the last eight years he has worked in the general practice field, after-hours services and was a visiting medical officer in  the regional hospital, supervising multiple junior doctors.

Dr Hendawi is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and also has a Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Diploma in Child Health.  He has a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and management, minor surgical procedures and various dermatological conditions. He also diagnoses and manages a variety of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, obesity, mental health (depression, anxiety and PTSD) and chronic pain management.  Dr Hendawi also looks after child health concerns and women’s health, including antenatal and post-natal visits.

Dr Hendawi is a family man as a father of two young boys.  He enjoys reading, fishing, walking, exercising and social activities.
